Seodisias Is Free Forever. Here Is What We Are Building for Teams.

Seodisias started as a free desktop crawler that runs on your own machine, needs no account, and keeps your crawl data local. That has not changed, and it is not going to. Free today, free tomorrow. The free version is not a trial that quietly expires, and it is not a stripped shell designed to push you toward a paid button. It is the product.

So before anything else: if all you ever want is a local crawler that finds broken links, thin pages, redirect chains, and technical issues, on Windows, macOS, or Linux, you already have it, for free, forever.

What is new is that we are starting to build the paid tiers that will sit next to the free version. This post is our honest first look at what those tiers will include, and an ask: help us decide what to build first.

Why “free” is not the thing we are monetizing

A lot of tools treat their free plan as bait. The useful parts sit behind a wall, and “free” mostly exists to get you in the door. We deliberately went the other way. The free version is local-first by design, which means the crawl runs on your computer and the results live on your disk. That is not a limitation we grudgingly allow. For an in-house team under strict data rules, or a freelancer crawling a client’s unreleased site, keeping the data local is the feature.

The paid tiers do not take anything away from that. They add capabilities that only make sense once you leave a single machine: sharing, collaboration, the cloud, and scheduled automation. If you never need those, you never pay. If you do, we would rather earn it by being useful than by holding your own reports hostage.

What the paid tiers will add

We are planning three tiers above the free version. We are not publishing prices yet, on purpose. We want to get the shape of the value right before we talk numbers.

Solo. For the freelancer or single consultant who has outgrown one machine. Cloud sync for your projects, shareable report links you can send to a client, and CSV export. No team seats, no white-label, just your work, backed up and shareable.

Team. Built for agencies and in-house teams that work together on the same sites:

  • Collaboration with roles and email invites, a small team on shared projects.
  • Share reports with a client over a link, no account required on their side, with an optional password.
  • White-label, your agency logo and colors on the reports your clients see.
  • Reminders that run server-side, SSL expiry and domain expiry, so nothing lapses on your watch.
  • Project management integrations, Jira, Trello, and ClickUp.
  • Notification integrations, Slack and Mattermost.
  • Search Console cross-check, Google and Bing data lined up against your crawl, so you can see “crawled but not indexed,” hunt low-CTR pages, spot quick wins, and prove real index status instead of guessing.

GEO & AI. Everything in Team, plus the AI and generative-search layer: AI-assisted titles and fix hints, GEO modules for optimizing how AI search engines cite you, and scheduled crawls that run without you clicking anything. We are keeping AI as its own tier on purpose, so teams who want collaboration without paying for AI are not forced to.

Local-first stays the default, even when you pay

One decision worth stating plainly: even on a paid plan, every project starts local. The cloud is opt-in, per project. When you want a project to gain team features or scheduled crawls, you connect it to the cloud on purpose, and your local copy is never deleted in the process. A paying user can still run a project that never touches our servers. The free promise is not a marketing line we bolt a paywall onto later, it is the architecture the whole product is built on.

Why we are asking before we build

We could guess which of these features matters most and build in that order. We would rather not guess. The fastest way for us to build the right thing is for you to tell us which tier fits you and which single feature you would actually use.

That is what the early-access list is for. It is not a purchase, there is no card, and there is no drip of marketing emails. You leave your email, tell us whether you are a solo, an in-house team, or an agency, and mark the tier and the feature that matter to you. When we open the paid tiers, you hear first, and the roadmap you helped shape is the one we ship.

If the free crawler already does everything you need, keep using it, that is exactly the point. If you have been wishing it could do more once your work leaves one machine, tell us what you would want. You can also watch where the desktop app is headed on the roadmap.
